Financial Reporting

Financial reporting is the structured communication of an organization’s financial performance and position through formal financial statements and disclosures. It includes the preparation and publication of balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and shareholders’ equity reports, often supplemented by management discussion and analysis (MD&A) sections.

Financial reporting ensures transparency, builds investor and lender confidence, and supports regulatory compliance.

In the UAE and similar jurisdictions, financial reporting must adhere to local laws, VAT regulations, and often IFRS for listed and large private companies.
