Stock Warrant
A Stock Warrant is a financial instrument granting the holder the right to buy a company’s stock at a specific price before a set expiration date. Warrants are often issued to investors as an incentive for participating in funding rounds or as part of debt agreements.
Unlike stock options, which are typically given to employees, warrants are issued to external parties like investors or lenders.
Features:
Longer expiration period (often 3–10 years)
Exercisable at a fixed price
Can be detachable or tied to another financial instrument (like convertible notes)
